Star Wars Battlefront is set to feature 12 multiplayer maps when it launches at the end of the year.
The 12 multiplayer maps are set to take place upon planets popular in the Star Wars franchise including Tatooine, Endor and Hoth–as well as new locations like Jakku and Sullust. There might be other planets in store, but it's unlikely.
DICE has confirmed that the maps will cater to both large-scale (40-man) and small scale (8-man) battles, and everywhere in-between. The larger maps, for example, are designed for the Walker Assault mode, while others are tailored to more intimate, close-quarters battles.
In the same post, Star Wars Battlefront developer DICE revealed the planet Sullust, an icy lava planet upon which players both Imperials and Rebels will do battle.
Star Wars Battlefront is planned for a November 17 release date, and both EA and DICE are expected to give the game a big showcase at the upcoming E3 event, which takes place in June.
