It’s common knowledge amongst PC gamers that Ubisoft’s DRM Servers were down yesterday making their DRM protected games(Silent Hunter 5 & Assassin’s Creed 2) unplayable for the majority of the day. This was originally the biggest concerns of PC gamers who have to be connected to the internet at all times in order to play Ubisoft’s DRM protected games.
Ubisoft posted a response to the server outages plaguing AC2 and SH5 on social networking website, twitter
Apologies to anyone who couldn’t play ACII or SH5 yesterday. Servers were attacked which limited service from 2:30pm to 9pm Paris time.
Those of you who were receiving denial of service errors while attempting to open a game session, Ubisoft has said that the attacks had the effect of blocking new requests from legitimate users and they are currently working on it.
We hope people who bought the game ignoring the ridiculous DRM have learnt their lesson.
