Microsoft Pays a Ton of Money: Gets Skyrim Timed-DLC in Return

August 26, 2011 by Gameranx Staff

Microsoft has confirmed they have secured an exclusive deal to provide Skyrim DLC to the Xbox 360 first.

Microsoft has once again paid presumably millions to secure a lucrative deal with Bethesda Sofworks. The platform holder has secured the rights to the first two downloadable content packs to be released on the Xbox 360 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The company announced an exclusivity deal with Bethesda regarding downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Not one, but two DLC packs will be released on Xbox Live exclusively for 30 days after the launch of the packs. The DLC will then release on the PlayStation 3 and PC.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is due for a worldwide release on November 11th, 2011.
