As noted yesterday, Square Enix is teasing a new game with the hashtag #CantStopProgress, or "Project CKP." Today, a Russian website leaked screenshots of a new Deus Ex game entitled Mankind Divided, ruining the surprise.
With the leak, GameInformer has revealed that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is indeed a thing and that it will be releasing on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The publication revealed that the game will remain true to the player choice-driven gameplay of the first game, but will offer improved combat systems and boss encounters—two heavily criticized aspects of the first game.
Mankind Divided is set in 2029, two years after the events of the first game, with Adam Jensen once again assuming the role of the protagonist. Jensen joins an Interpol-funded task force that aims to hunt down and capture cyber-augmented terrorists in a world that's being divided in half by the use of cybernetic augmentations. Like the first game, there's stealth, combat, and social interactions.
Screenshots of the game, leaked today, can be seen below.
