Xenoblade Chronicles X director Koh Kojima revealed a new Fashion Equipment feature for the game.
Fashion Equipment is sure to be a popular feature forXenoblade fans. It will allow you to change how your avatar appears in the game, without making changes to his or her equipment. In this way, your avatar’s appearance is not tied down to what equipment they are using.
You can even change your appearance as many times as you want, but there is one serious provision: To get to use Fashion Equipment, you need to finish the game once first.
This provision could be a serious damper on this feature, based on what we already know about the size of the game. Executive Director Tetsuya Takahashi has gone on record that his recent playtest of the game clocked in at over 300 hours. You will also want to note that Xenoblade Chronicles X has a map five times as big as the original Xenoblade Chronicles, so you may be playing longer than Takahashi has. Ironically, due to the scope of the game, it may take forever for fans to use the Fashion Equipment feature. Hopefully, Monolith Soft considers changing the use conditions.
If there isn’t much more information, this is because we will be getting a new video for the game later this week. As promised, it will discuss details on the game’s sprawling transforming transportation mechs, the Dolls, as well as the game’s online features.
Xenoblade Chronicles X will be released exclusively to the Wii U in 2015.
