The opening cinematic of Sword of the Stars 2 features giant tentacled space monsters (with striking resemblance to the film-version of the Ogdru Jahad from Hellboy), as well as lots of pretty graphics. More noticeable, probably, is the truly awful dialogue of the narrator. I'm sure it's meant to sound neat and dramatic and imposing and dangerous but it just doesn't have that affect. Regardless, I am hotly anticipating this 4X/RT space strategy title, as there really aren't enough of these things. The fact that it switches from 4X to Real Time for combat means it's worth some attention.
