Bloodborne’s Latest Patch Fixes Game Breaking Bug, Dupe Glitch

April 1, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

The progression-breaking bug has been fixed in Bloodborne.

Bloodborne has a new patch that upgrades the game up to version 1.02, bringing with it numerous bug fixes and a removal of the item duplication glitch that we documented just a few days ago.

Most notably, the infamous progression bug that prevented players from making further progress into the game if they engaged in a multiplayer session in the Forbidden Woods has been fixed. The Lunarium Key, which is required to progress to the next area, will now drop.

In addition to other minor bug fixes, the 1.02 patch removes the item duplication glitch that allowed players to duplicate countless consumable items, detailed in this post.

The patch weighs around 300mb and is available for download now. PS4 owners will grab it automatically as long as they're connected to the internet. If you'd like to exploit the game's dupe bug before downloading the patch, now's your last chance to do so.

Unfortunately, this patch does not come with the performance optimizations that are set to decrease load times.
