Playstation Network is continually expanding, matching services offered by Microsoft's Xbox Live every day. In fact, one might say that there is enough benefit to joining the Sony clan over Microsoft's. In a fairly large update published to Playstation Network recently, users will have access to another feature: verified accounts.
There's currently no word on how exactly too attain one of these accounts for yourself, but it would appear that Sony handpicks who makes it on the short list. The only credentialing requirements that have surfaced so far is that the service will be open to "industry professionals and developers." Some major Sony players have already had their accounts embellished with the checkmark, which designates a verified account. We expect many more to follow.
