In a move which will surely anger fans of the series, Team Ninja has confirmed dismemberment and decapitations will not be a presence with Ninja Gaiden 3.
The exclusion of both dismemberment and decapitations was confirmed by a Team Ninja spokesperson who told IGN:
We don't think people want to see that anymore. They've already seen it.
Decapitating enemies played a major role in Ninja Gaiden 3's predecessor; it was a vital aspect of buying your character some time via cutting their body pieces off. Indeed, it was satisfying, too, so its exclusion from the third installment of the series is baffling to say the least.
Ninja Gaiden 3, which was recently confirmed to be received PlayStation Move support, releases in 2012 for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
