The release of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin has been pushed ahead by a week in Europe, publisher Bandai Namco has announced. The game, which was originally slated for release on April 7 in Europe is now coming out on April 2.
Scholar of the First Sin is a digital remastering of Dark Souls 2, containing brand new features as well as features that were released for free for the original game.
The free update for Dark Souls 2 added the titular character (Scholar of the First Sin) as an NPC/boss, along with new item descriptions and improved matchmaking.
However, the Scholar of the First Sin release of Dark Souls 2 contains additional enhancements. Notably, it will add smoother performance with 1080p/60fps, and includes all three of the game's DLC expansions. There are also new enemy placements and fiercer foe AI, and lets more players to play together at once cooperatively or competitively.
