Electronic Arts has confirmed they are to deliberately limit the amount of copies which hit store shelves for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
The publisher said the number of copies of Star Wars: The Old Republic is being limited when it releases so the highly anticipated PC MMO has a smooth start. EA confirmed at gamescom that both digital and physical copies of the game will be limited in order to maintain their servers.
A spokesperson for the company added that as soon as the limit was reached for The Old Rebublic, BioWare will be working to expand the game's server capabilities to ensure more players can join in.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is expected to release before 2012 arrives, but no solid release date is set yet.
