In a recent interview with International Business Times, Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: Nightfall actor Mike Colter spoke about his gaming history; Colter plays the role of Agent Locke.
Apparently, Colter wasn't even a gamer until he began working on the two projects. Colter says that his relationship with Halo only gave him as much “as pop culture gave me. I was not a gamer, and I think of that as an advantage. This relationship with video games isn't uncommon, and the number of actors and actresses crossing over is becoming quite a long list.
Colter feels that not being a fan of Halo beforehand has its positives. He said: "It’s nice to have a little bit of a clean slate with your character." Colter feels that actors place far too much pressure on themselves when working on something that might have already been close to their hearts. This allows him to approach the project with objectivity.
Halo 5: Guardians will be out this holiday season exclusively for Microsoft's Xbox One.
