Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is available today and VideoGamer has already discovered a tease for Hotline Miami 3.
The unannounced sequel is hinted at in a fake main menu screen which appears at the game's end, featuring options to start a new game, continue, select options, and quit. The options cannot be selected, however.
In order to see the video, you'll need to wait until the game's credits have rolled twice and the game screen goes black. About 90 seconds later, the Hotline Miami 3 menu appears for a short time before the game reverts to Hotline Miami 2's main menu.
Developer Dennaton has previously commented that it has "no desire to make a Hotline Miami 3.".
Publisher Devolver's PR company told VideoGamer the tease is "open to interpretation" and added that players will soon be able to continue the story through the level editor.
Hotline Miami 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. We have a review round-up of the game here.
