A Half-life game for Valve's newly announced virtual reality headset Vive may be in development, HTC has teased in comments reported by the BBC.
Cher Wang, HTC's chairwoman, said she "hopes" to see a Half-Life game on Vive, and added the company was "co-operating with Half-life".
HTC is working with Valve to create the Vive headset but Wang would not be drawn on whether the game is Half-life 3, Half-life 2: Episode 3, or an entirely new Half-life project.
Valve released a beta version of Half-life 2 for Oculus Rift in 2013, and it's possible that this is the version Wang is referring to. If we are to return to Gordon Freeman's shoes, we can expect the game – whatever it is – to be a key part of Valve and HTC's marketing push for Vive.
For all we know, Half-Life 3 may never happen, but there are some excellent fan videos to tide us over in the event that the game is, in fact, becoming a reality.
