Mortal Kombat X Sees the Return of Brutalities

February 27, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Brutalities are making a return back into the game.

Brutalities have been confirmed for the upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat X from NetherRealm. The developer confirmed the inclusion of the much-requested feature in the release of its fourth Kombat Kast episode, which details features that are making it into the game.

According to creator Ed Boon, there will be "well over 100" brutalities in the game that activate based on how you attack an enemy at the end of a match.

In the original MK games, brutalities were long combo attacks that ended with your opponent exploding into a pile of bones. They were difficult to accomplish.

With the new system, players will be able to perform brutalities automatically based on completing a match with specific conditions. Check it out in the video below.

Earlier today, NetherRealm released a story trailer for the upcoming game. Check that out here.
