Dragon Quest is one of the most venerated series of role-playing games in Japan, and is set to arrive in the form of a full scale action RPG to the West (read: everywhere outside of Japan) called Dragon Quest Heroes, exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
In Dragon Quest Heroes, the players (yes, it's co-op) must go up against hordes of enemies as well as gigantic bosses. It's developed by the makers of Dynasty Warriors, Omega Force, in collaboration with Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii and composer Koichi Sugiyama. Characters and monsters are of course designed by the series' artist Akira Toriyama.
Dragon Quest Heroes is pretty significant as it is the first western release for the series since Dragon Quest 9. It's also a PS4-exclusive title, so that's kind of a big deal.
The game is expected to cost $59.99 when it launches later this year.
