We’ve seen plenty of the Netherworld in previous Disgaea games, and it looks like we’re heading back there in the newly announced Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance. The game continues the series’ tradition as a turn-based strategy experience , this time featuring three protagonists. A new trailer for the game has been released, so check it out below.
The hero (or anti-hero) of Disgaea 4, Killia, vows to get revenge against Void Dark, and joins forces with Seraphina from the Gorgeous Netherworld and Usalia from the Rabbit Netherworld.
What’s interesting with this alliance is that it translates into a new alliance game mechanic with “Alliance Attacks” that main characters can use depending on the strength of their relationship with each other. There’s also a Revenge Mode where allies and enemies get stat boosts when their team takes a serious beating.
The game is slated for release in both North America and Europe during the fall for the PS4.
