With so many new games on the horizon, it can be hard to keep track of what’s in store for us in 2015 and beyond—yet one game, Just Cause 3, manages to stand out amid the flurry of action titles poised for release.
The reason for this is simple: Just Cause 3 is the sequel to the undeniably fantastic Just Cause 2, and it looks freaking incredible, to boot.
As an open world title, the Just Cause series has been above and beyond better than its rivals, offering a true open world environment as opposed to an world with big areas partitioned by roadblocks and gated content. Roadblock? No problem—the game’s protagonist Rico can just use his grappling hook to climb that guard tower and get to the other side, or even fly over there with the use of a fighter jet, flying suit, or any number of other means.
New screenshots of the game, released today, depict Rico Rodriguez in his flying suit, parachuting down to an Italian vista, diving away from an exploding helicopter, and more. Check them out below.
