Daum Games and Pearl Abyss have shared a new trailer showing off the Media Republic, a new area in Episode 2 of Black Desert Online.
The game continues to be a visually impressive feast, and this trailer is no different. It shows off much of the new areas added along with Episode 2, and for folks who are playing it now, they can clearly see that it is a major expansion of the game, both in terms of scope and physical terrain.
The Media Republic is found between Serendia and Valencia. It has four new hunting grounds, three separate regions, and new NPCs for player to interact with. There will be roughly 100 new monsters to fight with, each at levels 51 to 55, and with completely new combat patterns.
This update will also add in commerce, crafting, and some new combat content into the game as a whole.
What’s really impressive about the trailer is, lacking words, the demonstration of so many different areas, things to do, and things to see, in a span of less than two minutes. Previewed here are:
· A market full of humans
· A kiln surrounded by orcs
· Some humans in knight armor (including a woman in the foreground) practicing to fight
· A band of armored dog/hyena like creatures

Black Desert Online is in open beta in Korea. Daum are planning a Western release in 2016.
