3D Support For Batman: Arkham City’s PC Version Confirmed

August 15, 2011 by Gameranx Staff

3D support for Rocksteady Studio’s Batman: Arkham City has been confirmed.

3D support for Batman: Arkham City has been confirmed, as well as the confirmation of PhysX being improved for the PC version of the sequel.

The news was unveiled in the latest edition of PC Gamer, with the magazine saying:

Thanks to the high-altitude gliding and swinging, the depth effects of 3D really stand out in Arkham City, though it does make a dark game look that much darker.

Improved PhysX is also being implemented:

In [the courthouse battle], the not-so-subtle PhysX enhancement causes a wooden wall to splinter as inmates are flung against it.

It's no surprise that the game is going to be superior on the PC; PCGamer also said "Arkham City's console textures look poor in comparison to PC's". Batman: Arkham City is currently scheduled for a release on October 19th, 2011.

Thanks, ArkhamCity.
