Bioware general manager Aaryn Flynn has given fans a better idea of what to expect with Mass Effect 4.
Aaryn posted on NeoGAF in response to a fan wondering if they are treating Dragon Age Inquisition as a template for their new game. To put it simply, no.
Aaryn explained Bioware’s philosophy that each series should evolve separately. He confirmed that both games use the Frostbite engine to create big sprawling worlds, but that was the extent of it.
Aaryn then shared a few ways in which Mass Effect 4 is deviating from Dragon Age Inquisition. The Mako will be a major part of Mass Effect 4 to deliver on what the original game promised. Dropping 7th generation consoles has also had a major effect on the game’s development.
If anything, Aaryn and Bioware are consistent in talking aboutMass Effect 4 without really revealing all that much about it.
Do you think Bioware’s approach to Mass Effect 4 is the right one? Or should they be considering each follow up game as an evolution of the last one, regardless of franchise? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
