Avalanche Studios has shared a new batch of screenshots for Just Cause 3.
If you weren’t happy with the limited palette of previous games, that is now a thing of the past. Rico will glide, skydive, and grapple through a bright and colorful Medici. The deep blue waters capture nuances in waves and light reflections, and where you find them, leaves are green, purple, brown, whatever it would look like in real life. The Mediterranean island is certainly not lacking in natural splendor.
The focus on these screenshots is the environment, and we see a hint of the violence you can unload (including a spectacular mid-air explosion) but none of a promised new feature; subterranean environments. Still, it appears that Avalanche has chosen not to try too hard with a huge sprawling world, and focus on making Medici, likeFar Cry 4’s Kyrat, as attractive and engaging a game world as possible.
