Quantic Dream has officially unveiled Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered, available now on iOS, as well as Steam for Windows, OS X, and Linux.
You may remember the leak unwitthingly done by Amazon early this week; everything there has proven correct. Now, of course, we have complete information on the game below.
Quantic calls this the definitive version of the game, based on the international uncensored version, and coming with full controller support, even on iOS. The iOS version also picks up touch based control scheme and cross buy/ cross save across devices. An Android port is in the works, but there are no plans to bring it to any console. There are also no plans for cross save across mobile and PC, even between Mac and iPhone / iPad.
So, regarding the remastered graphics, this is not an extensive remaster. Developers Aspyr focused on increasing texture detail by as much as 4x and image resolution from 1024×768 to 2880×1800. As such, this is also the only version with widescreen support. The upside to this is the game retains its semi-stylized look, rather than attempting to push for hyperrealistic graphics.
Full system requirements for PC are here, but long story short, you will need at least i3 and 4GB RAM. For iPhone and iPad, it needs to be iOS7 and above. Aspyr has also shared a list of supported controllers for iOS and each PC OS here.
