If you've been following the games industry, then you'll know that one of the major complaints surrounding Nintendo's Wii U console is its lack of meatier titles. Nintendo has done a fine job of trying to turn that reputation on its belly, but I'd argue that they've not achieved solace just yet. They do, however, stand to change my opinion with Xenoblade Chronicles X, which is one of the biggest upcoming games on any console.
Nintendo Everything has published a ton of information about the game. Some of this information has already been circulated around the web, but one piece of interesting data looks like this:
– Takahashi’s final check play time was over 300 hours
Tetsuya Takahashi is the head of Xenoblade developer Monolith Soft. It goes without saying that this number is quite possibly exxagerated, encompassing all tasks within the game world. That said, Wii U gamers have been waiting for a game that they can invest large amounts of time into.
Xenoblade Chronicles X is currently slated for a 2015 release. With no big delays or setbacks, it should be out for the Wii U by year's end.
