Another year, almost certainly another NBA 2K game, so what do the fans want when they take to the virtual court later this year? On Reddit, the community had some suggestions for what could be improved in MyCAREER.
- Ability to force your teammates to take a shot (by pressing the shoot button, for example)
- More off-season activities. Would love to play in a Drew League game
- Bit of a pipe-dream, but would love the ability to play a MyCAREER with a few other players in the same universe. Sort of like what Madden's CFM does
- Different player customization system for ratings. I get why they went with the system they did, and I enjoy unlocking attribute upgrades, but stop forcing me to upgrade items I don't want to upgrade because they fall in a pre-defined bucket
- A way to check playoff brackets, recent trades and to be able to inspect the teams making you an offer in the off season
- The lack of playoff bracket was annoying. Seems like such a simple thing to have
- The option to be drafted or undrafted
- And last but not least, better god damn teamates. I shouldn't have to average 45pts a game to just barely eek out a last minute win against the sixers while all my teamates average below 10 and won't shoot open j's or play like the all stars they're supposed to be
Fans may not get everything they want, but what features would you most like to see 2K implement for the next instalment?
It's far too early to talk about release dates or platforms, but our 8.5/10 review of NBA 2K15 discusses some of the issues with that game which may be addressed for the next one.
