The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due out later this year. On May 19, gamers around the world will be able to jump into their final quest with Geralt, the white-haired creature slayer. That said, we're still riding the hype train to Wild Hunt's release. In an interview with VG247, CD Projekt Red level designer Miles Tost revealed some extremely important information. Apparently, The Witcher 3 will feature a dynamically changing environment.
Will regions change when you come back later in the game – will people’s attitudes be different?
Miles Tost: Yes. You might find yourself interested in returning to the prologue area on multiple occasions in the game. Not because the game tells you to but just to see what happens.
Many gamers were concerned that enemies' inability to scale with the player's level would cause a late-game drop-off in content. However, this news shows us that CD Projekt Red is preparing something very interesting for us. There will be more reason to visit old areas than to simply kill enemies.
This is an entirely new approach to game development. We're extremely excited to see what CD Projekt Red does with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
