Battlefield: Hardline to Bear New Multiplayer Mode, Crosshair

January 21, 2015 by Jacob Saylor

new year, new multiplayer modes.

Battlfield's loyal fan base has been divided about the upcoming Hardline. Some argue that the cops vs robbers style shooter is just the shake up the series needs; others are of the opinion that this takes us too far from the franchise's roots.

Developer Visceral Games wants to make sure they deliver with Hardline. Today, they've announced a new game mode: Crosshair.

In Crosshair, players face off in a 5v5 escort-style mission. You've got three minutes to kill the opposing team's VIP; if you're on the other team, your goal is to get them to the designated extraction point. All of this may not sound very innovative, but there's a catch: nobody respawns. The three-minute time limit, combined with this revelation, should prove to offer a very dynamic, fast-paced gameplay scenario.

Battlefield: Hardline is due out on March 17, 2015 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Thanks, IGN.
