Earlier, we reported that scalpers were buying copies of the Majora's Mask 3DS XL bundle and selling them on eBay at inflated prices. Sure, it seems like a good business plan for those parties who have the cash to buy 3DS XL in bulk, but it's not really fair to the rest of us.
Well, it would appear that Nintendo might be preparing to scalp the scalpers. On the official UK Nintendo Store, the Japanese-based developer has re-listed the Majora's Mask 3DS XL for pre-order. While its price has gone up by just a slim margin, this will hurt those buying in bulk more than it hurts you and me. Plus, the 3DS XL version appears to be radically popular, so why not raise the price?
There's no word yet on whether or not the U.S. will be getting more copies added to its ranks, but we're willing to bet that Nintendo addresses the situation. If you remember the Marth Amiibo situation, Nintendo pulled a fast one on scalpers is going to be offering more copies of the figurine for sale.
The 3DS from UK Nintendo Store will run you £209.99, with enhanced shipping costs because you're getting it from across the pond. That said, anything beats buying from the eBay crowd who are utilizing their great funds to make you pay more.
