Naughty Dog fans should be very happy. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is getting closer to our doorstep, and some recent news from the developer may point towards a new entry into their popular Last of Us franchise. In an interview with Game Informer, Naughty Dog developers Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann spoke about what the studio is doing and how they are planning for the future.
In this interview, Straley was asked about the possibility of a Last of Us 2, to which he replied:
"We're 110 percent in Uncharted 4 territory now. Blinders on, make this awesome."
However, Druckmann states that he and some fans believe that Naughty Dog might be better as a one-off game, rather than an entire series.
"We totally get it, because we have those same feelings as well. We have brainstormed sequel ideas for The Last of Us, and we've brainstormed ideas for new games, but all of that is put on ice right now while we work on Uncharted 4."
With the financial allure of a Last of Us 2, we find it hard to believe that there won't be another entry into the franchise. Furthermore, we reported last year that the game may already be in development, regardless of what Naughty Dog is saying.
