New screenshots of Rodea the Sky Soldier have appeared thanks to 4Gamer. They also shared more of the game’s scenario.
Rodea wakes up after being asleep for 1,000 years by a girl, Ion. Before this sleep, he was the personal guard of the imperial princess Cecilia, daughter of the emperor of Garuda. Cecilia entrusted her thoughts to Rodea, and mysteriously disappeared before he was hidden to safety.
Now, the Machine Empire Naga dominates and scours the world in the hunt for precious Gravity Energy, which they use to run their many flying machines.
Ion serves as Rodea’s guide, explaining the peril the world faces from Naga, and helping Rodea recover his memories.
These new screenshots give us a good look at Naga’s many flying machines, but they also have anti-aircraft weaponry for the flying Rodea to contend with.
Kadokawa Games has revealed they will host a special event on January 17 called the Rodea the Sky Experience Tour 2015 ~ First ~ (Yes, it’s a mouthful). 30 select fans will get dibs on the game’s first playable demo.
Rodea the Sky Soldier will be released for the Wii U and 3DS in Japan in April 2, 2015, with a Western release forthcoming. You can check out some more screenshots below.
