Dontnod Entertainment and Square Enix have shared the system requirements for Life is Strange, along with the first of three developer diaries.
First up, these are the system requirements. The game is planned for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 so they are unsurprisingly lax.
Minimum:
· OS: Windows Vista
· Processor: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent
· Memory: 2 GB RAM
· Graphics: ATI or NVidia card w/ 512 MB RAM (not recommended for Intel HD Graphics cards)
· DirectX: Version 9.0
· Hard Drive: 3 GB available space
Recommended:
· OS: Windows 7
· Processor: Dual Core 3.0GHz or equivalent
· Memory: 2 GB RAM
· Graphics: ATI or NVidia card w/ 1024 MB RAM (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 or ATI HD 4890)
· DirectX: Version 9.0
· Hard Drive: 3 GB available space
Dontnod also spoke at length about the game’s development in their diary, and they really poured a lot of passion into this passion project.
The game’s butterfly effect like game mechanic is a natural progression of the memory re-mix mechanic they first produced in Remember Me. Whereas many adventure games can be obtuse about the causality of events, Dontnod’s game will show more direct connections, to evoke more straightforward emotional reactions to your choices.
Dontnod also cited Square Enix for being on board with the game. Whereas other publishers tried to pressure the studio to making the lead character male, Square Enix did not put that pressure on them, and this is why Dontnod eventually chose Square Enix.

Episode One of Life is Strange will be releasing on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 on January 30, with four more episodes coming in the future.
