In October, Nintendo revamped its online marketplace by offering gamers the ability to buy and pre-purchase first party titles from its webstore in North America. It would appear that this has been a positive move for the Japanese-based company, as they are now expanding the initiative to third-party and Virtual Console titles.
There are now over 100 games available for purchase, including virtual console games. Some of the more pervasive titles are: NES Remix 2, EarthBound, Kirby Fighters Deluxe and Mega Man Xtreme 2. Any loyal Nintendo fan will be chomping at the bit to get their hands on these games.
While the future of Nintendo's webstore is still uncertain, we're excited to see what Nintendo can do with it. The Wii U's online offerings have typically been weaker than its Playstation 4 and Xbox One counterparts, so it's great to see Nintendo getting with the times.
