If you haven't already heard of Pokemon: Uranium, then it might be a good time to start paying attention. This fan-made 'fakemon' game offers players all the pleasantries of Nintendo's popular Pokemon series without the hassle of having to buy a Nintendo DS or the games for it.
Pokemon: Uranium is currently in its fourth beta stage, and is available on PC. It features over 100 pokemon for gamers to catch and battle with, as well as the brand new 'Tandor' region. When the game is finished and out of beta testing, there will be eight gyms in total. Gamers can traverse the Tandor region using the Pokemon that they have catched in order to conquer these gyms.
The reason for the game's Uranium tagline is that trainers must also deal with corrupted Pokemon. These Pokemon have become infected due to a nuclear disaster, which is pretty dark subject material for a Pokemon game. That said, gamers who play Uranium will probably be a bit older, given that it's less known.
