Sure, we've all heard of Dragon's Dogma, but a new trademark registered by Capcom may prove to bring some mystery to the franchise. Capcom recently filed a trademark for Dragon's Dogma Online in Japan, Europe and the United States.
This trademark was originally registered at the beginning of December, but we haven't heard a single thing about a Dragon's Dogma Online until now. There's no telling if this will be a simple expansion to 2012's Dragon's Dogma or a game devoted entirely to itself.
Due to the huge time gap between both games, we're hedging our bets on it being a new game. The new generation of consoles is here and Capcom has been extremelly quiet regarding anything related to Dragon's Dogma. This is all just conjecture, so take it all with a grain of salt.
All of this said, the trademark is a very real and confirmed finding. It will turn into something, hopefully sooner rather than later. We don't know how Capcom does it, to be honest. They've got what seems like a million different games in development, so we're very excited to see what the Japanese developer brings in 2015.
