Ubisoft seems to have no inhibitions when it comes to the Far Cry franchise, if we are to believe a questionnaire that the developer sent out to players.
Ubi asked about several scenarios for the game in that recent survey, including some fairly predictable ideas, such as zombies, returning to Shangri-La from Far Cry 4, and perhaps a popular idea, a Blood Dragon sequel.
However, Ubi also asked about several more exotic locales, including Peru and Alaska. They also asked about historical settings, such as the 19th Century America (Wild West scenario), and the Vietnam War.
And it gets even crazier. Ubi asked about scenarios involving vampires, post apocalyptic Mad Max style world, or a Jurassic Park like island.
It would seem suspicious for Ubi to even be considering Vietnam as a future setting, but outside of that, these ideas for future games show Ubi is willing to try anything.
While that willingness to take risks is admirable, given the current perception of the company, Ubi may be better off playing it safe, with something like a full retail Blood Dragon sequel.
