Sadly, I've got a confession to make. I can't hide it under the prying eyes of Phoenix Wright. I'm just going to come right out and say it: I have not played through the original Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney trilogy. All of my friends make Phoenix Wright jokes and toss around memes, but I'm just left wondering what it all means and why it's so funny. Maybe it's not supposed to be funny? I don't know!
Nintendo is going to give me the opportunity to right my wrong, though. The Japan-based company will be releasing the titles again via their eShop. There's no information yet as to how much the package – which comes as the entire trilogy of games – will cost, but we're guessing it can't be more than few bucks.
All that said, the price of downloadable content has surprised us before. In an industry where most of the scrutiny is placed on downloadable content, almost anything can happen. Season Passes are getting more expensive, as an emphasis gets placed on post-launch support for the major titles of our industry.
Nintendo really appears to be getting with the times lately. The Wii U hasn't been doing so hot, but Zelda Wii U should prove to bring some more fans to the console. The Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy will only be coming out on Nintendo's 3DS handheld, but this and myriad of other titles are going to be what keep loyalists true to the cause.
