Nintendo has been cozying up with different retailers as part of its amiibo initiative, leading to certain figures' being exclusive to particular stores. We already learned that Shulk will be camping out at GameStops nationwide, and now we hear from Best Buy that Meta Knight will claim the electronics chain as its domain.
Both Meta Knight and Shulk are part of the third wave of amiibo, scheduled to arrive in February 2015. If I was a betting man, I would put money down on Amazon's being the next retailer announce amiibo exclusivity. None of the figuries from the first two waves are store exclusive, by the way, so rest easy for now.
The first 12 amiibo will arrive this Friday, November 21, alongside Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
