The LittleBigPlanet titles, like Minecraft, are powerful creation tools with boundless potential. Sure, you can build a couple of basic levels here or there, but true construction masters go above and beyond. Some of the more impressive creations are remakes of other popular videogames, and the most ambitious one has been the Final Fantasy VII remake.
After more than two years of work, LBP builder Jamie Colliver has completed his FFVII remake in LittleBigPlanet 2. From the opening Bombing Mission to the final confrontation against Sephiroth, every event, piece of music, and major battle has gone through the Sackboy filter. There are over 31 individual levels comprising this massive endeavor, and you can watch them all being played in the above YouTube playlist. Naturally, Colliver earned the elusive Prize Crown for his efforts.
Remember, you will be able to play this and all other custom levels in both the PS3 and PS4 versions of LittleBigPlanet 3, which was just released yesterday. I'm glad that at least one person was willing to deliver an HD Final Fantasy VII remake, since clearly Square Enix doesn't want to.
