Ubisoft has shared a message to early buyers of Far Cry 4 regarding game bugs.
Ubisoft Montreal is hard at work at fixing issues with the game. However, many players may not know or were notified about the Day One patch that fixes many issues with the game. In particular, if you had been playing this game completely offline, you would not have been notified and updated with the patch.
Outside of the patch, these are the issues Ubi is addressing with the game right now:
PC crashes that lead to black screens. Ubisoft’s initial investigations imply that specific game peripherals are the cause of the issue.
Certain PlayStation 3 owners are receiving corrupted data warning messages. Interestingly, there is reason to believe this only affects PS3 owners who played Far Cry 3 or Blood Dragon on their console. Ubi wants you to contact them if you have similar issues but have never played either game.
Finally, some fans were unable to redeem their Blood Ruby bonus mission for preordering the game. Either they did not receive the email that would give them the needed redemption code, or the code provided was proven invalid.
Do you have other concerns with the game that wasn’t addressed with the patch? Share them with Ubi on their official support system here.
