Dying Light 2 Online Series Dying 2 Know Will Soon Highlight Combat

August 18, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

Catch the latest episode next week.

A new episode of Techland’s Dying 2 Know series is coming soon. This installment is a special Gamescom episode that will feature Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s lead game designer, Tymon Smektała. Like the previous two episodes that were released, this third installment will highlight more about the game. In the past, we got a better glimpse of the enemies along with the world. The third installment to the Dying 2 Know series, it’s all about combat and parkour.

We didn’t get anything specific as to what viewers can expect outside of combat and parkour. With that said, parkour is a staple mechanic to the Dying Light franchise. Players will be able to jump, leap, and vault around the city to avoid danger. If you’re familiar with the first installment, then chances are you’ll have a good idea of what Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s movement system will be like. Finally, we’ll get a deep dive look into the new potentially adjusted mechanics that were made from the first installment.

Additionally, there are going to be plenty of combat options available in this game. A press release did note that there is an impressive arsenal of deadly tools outside of having your fists and feet. This upcoming Dying 2 Know footage should have a trailer highlighting some of these tools and parkour combinations when fighting off an infected or whoever else decides to get in your way. Remember to tune in on August 26, 2021, at 11 AM PT. To catch it live, you’ll need to visit the Gamescom Studio.

As for when you can get your hands on Dying Light 2: Stay Human, there’s a small wait to endure. Developers Techland is launching the game on December 7, 2021. You can expect the title to be available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms when it does release. In the meantime, you can check out the official invite teaser to the next Dying 2 Know episode in the video embedded above.
