Two New 2DS Colors Arrive Alongside Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

November 12, 2014 by Tony Ponce

Transparent blue and red 2DS devices will be priced at $99.99 each.

When Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire drop on November 21, they'll be joined by two new handheld colors. These aren't special edition 3DS or 3DS XL models, though, but the return of 2DS, the stereoscopic 3D-less portable built for budget-minded parents that was released last year.

For $99.99, you can score either a translucent red 2DS or translucent blue 2DS, which perfectly tie into the ruby and sapphire color schemes of the latest Pokemon remakes. These also recall the various "see-through" Game Boy models that Nintendo has released in the past. Sadly, neither will be bundled with the new Pokemon.

Head on down to your local retailer come November 21 to pick these new machines.
