Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has inked a deal with Japanese studio Grasshopper Manufacture to publish the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw in the west.
“Our exciting partnership with Kadokawa Games allows us to try something new by bringing a very unique game like Lollipop Chainsaw to Western markets,” said WBIE chief Martin Tremblay.
“We are looking forward to partnering with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on our first entry into the HD console market,” echoed Yoshimi Yasuda, president of Kadokawa Games, which will publish the game in the Japanese market.
The game is helmed by Killer 7 and No More Heroes creator Suda 51, with writing by James Gunn (Dawn of the Dead) and music by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill).
Players take on the role of Juliet, a zombie hunter/cheerleader who takes matters into her own hands when zombies raid her high school, San Romero High.
