When Pokemon first started out with versions Red and Green back in 1996, nearly everyone said that the games would just be a fad. I didn't even really understand the scope of what was to come, as Pokemon expanded into a multi-generation television series with a huge host of games to play. There are remakes, spin-offs and main series entries that all encompass one overarching universe. Considering all of the different regions that have been created for the game series, we're wondering just how big the planet that Pokemon live on is. Pokemon is one of the most monstrously successful intellectual properties to ever grace the world of video games, and it's been pretty interesting having grown up in it. I'm left wondering what sorts of games would have been made if Pokemon and Nintendo didn't have such a tight stranglehold on the handheld gaming market.
At any rate, Youtuber pdwinnall has posted a video discussing some of the most recent developments to come out of the veritable Pokemon world. In this video, he talks about the game's introduction sequence, music and features some brand new gameplay for you to peer over. Many would argue that Pokemon: Ruby and Sapphire of the series' elite and that these remakes must not be missed. Frankly, I've lost some interest in the Pokemon series as of late, but given that Ruby and Sapphire were my favorite iterations next to generation one, I will probably be making a quick foray back into the Pokemon universe.
