Diablo 3: Different Bonuses Come To Consoles For Patch 2.1 Release

October 13, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Since the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions won’t get patches, Blizzard gave them different bonuses.

Diablo 3 Patch 2.1 was released on consoles, and each generation of consoles received different bonuses along to commemorate this release.

Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, received twice as many treasure goblin spawns along with Patch 2.1.

On the other hand, The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game don’t get patches. Instead, Blizzard gave those players a 100 % experience bonus. This bonus stacks with other existing bonuses, whether you get them from items, shrines, or Pools of Reflection.

Heads up, heroes. In celebration of the arrival of patch 2.1.0, all players who log into Ultimate Evil Edition this week will receive a temporary in-game buff!

To learn which buff applies to your platform of choice, read on below.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360:

Prepare to be enlightened. For a limited time, enjoy a +100% bonus to EXP! This bonus will stack with other existing bonuses in the game including (but not limited to) those provided by items, shrines, and Pools of Reflection.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One:

Double your treasure, double your fun. For a limited time, all Treasure Goblin spawns in the game have been doubled!

This bonus EXP and double Treasure Goblin period begins in all regions today, October 10, at 12:00 a.m. PDT and will end Friday, October 17, at 12:00 a.m. PDT. For time zone assistance, please visit: http://everytimezone.com/

*Buffs apply to Ultimate Evil Edition only.

So why share different bonuses in the first place? Blizzard did not explain but it may simple boil down to hardware limitations, the same limitations that keep Blizzard from patching the game on seventh generation consoles.

Whatever console you are playing on, these bonuses will only be live until October 17. So, if you want to earn as much treasure from these goblins as possible, you will want to log in and start playing today.
