There is a rumor going around that Grand Theft Auto 5 might no longer be coming for PC.
This follows Rockstar’s official announcement that the game would be delayed indefinitely for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, to 2015.
Our source is marketing firm Rantic, via its founder and Rockstar North employee, who we only know as Brad, as well as Rantic’s chairman, John Hoffberger.
Brad shared his concerns about the game’s possible cancellation on PC on Rantic’s official website. Hoffberger mirrored this statement in an interview. Hoffberger says that Rockstar never wanted to release the game to PC to begin with, but opted to work on it after seeing huge consumer demand.
However, the launch for the PC version has been agitating for the staff, and this is why Rantic is saying that Rockstar is planning to cancel the port altogether.
On the side, Rantic’s webpage has apparently been hacked by angry fans. There is a possibility this whole thing is an elaborate fabrication. Rockstar could, and should, squash these rumors with a statement if it’s completely untrue.
