Hyrule Warriors Event Near PAX Will Be Open to Public

August 28, 2014 by Tony Ponce

Play the game and win swag at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel on August 30.

There will be plenty to do this weekend if you happen to be in Seattle for PAX Prime, but Nintendo hopes you'll find some time to attend a special Hyrule Warriors event as well. This Saturday, August 30, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, fans will be able to play Hyrule Warriors and possibly even win a copy of the game at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel, which is a short eight-minute walk from the Washington State Convention Center. Since the event is not technically part of PAX, a PAX pass will not be required for entrance.

Make sure to arrive early, since this is a first-come, first-serve deal, though if you cosplay as a Zelda character, you'll be able to cut to the front of the line. Simply wearing any kind of Zelda gear will make you eligible for a drawing, in which you can win exclusive artwork or even that cool scarf that Japanese gamers got in their Hyrule Warriors special edition boxes.

As an added treat, there will be Nintendo reps floating all around Seattle throughout weekend, armed with Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. By following #SmashBash on Nintendo's social media channels, you'll be able to find where these people are hanging out. Be sure to bring you 3DS with you to get a little portable Smash going!

Hyrule Warriors is out on Wii U this September 26. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is out on October 3.
