Final Fantasy 15's lead programmer Kentaro Yasui has apparently left Square Enix to work on an upcoming mobile game titled Chaos Centurions.
The game's trailer, which you can see below, lists Yasui, Ryuji Ikeda of Dissidia Final Fantasy fame, and various former Square Enix and Capcom staffers among its development team.
Chaos Centurions is a RTS written by Kenichi Iwao who worked on Final Fantasy XIV and Alexander O. Smith, a Japanese localization expert.
Yasui has worked as lead programmer on Final Fantasy VII, VIII, Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, as well as Final Fantasy Versus 13 – now Final Fantasy 15.
Nova Crystallis reports that a source at Square Enix has confirmed Yasui's departure but it's unclear exactly when he left. In March, we reported on changes to the game's development team and it's possible Yasui left as a result of this shift.
Square Enix announced Final Fantasy 15 at E3 last year but has shared little information on the game since.
