It happened. Square Enix announced that the title Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be Final Fantasy XV.
New gameplay footage at E3 showcased the style, characters, and atmosphere of the new title, which like most Final Fantasy titles, is very striking,
This rebranding is due to Square Enix's decision to develop the game for next-generation consoles. The game–which follows the story of Noctis Lucius Caeulum–was originally announced back in 2006 but has since been in developer limbo.
Square Enix announced that the game will be available on the PlayStation 4, although it didn't specify whether it was a console exclusive.
