Respawn still has content coming on the way for Titanfall for the foreseeable future, but at a certain point, they will wind down work on the game and move on.
The IMC Rising DLC pack is the most immediate update in the horizon. It arrives this autumn, possibly September 6. The pack will go for $ 9.99 and will include three maps: Backwater, Sandtrap, and Zone 18. More DLC maps and free content updates are scheduled in the future after.
Overall, Respawn and EA planned six months’ worth of support after launch. They anticipate that fans may be feeling overwhelmed soon, if they are not already. They do intend to give fans a break while they plan what to do next. Of course, the requisite minimum game support, in terms of bug fixing and game improvements, will continue. There will be new Titanfall experiences in the future as well, but what these experiences will actually be – more DLC, a spinoff, a new game – has not yet been revealed.
We do know that Respawn is already planning a new game post Titanfall. This is a new third person action game, and they are collaborating with Stig Asmussen, most famous for his work in theGod of War series.
