The major hook of the new-gen Assassin's Creed is its four-player co-op, but that doesn't mean there isn't a beefy single-player campaign for the lone wolves out there. At gamescom, Assassin's Creed Unity creative director Alex Amancio commentated an 11-minute direct feed of a solo assassination mission, from the opening cutscene, to the glorious kill, and finally to the escape.
The gameplay begins at the two-minute mark. During the run, you'll see new assassin Arno Dorian make use of an improved parkour system which allows him to cut a path over or through nearly any type of structure or terrain. Many of the changes and tweaks are very subtle, but together they deliver a much more immersive experience than past installments.
Assassin's Creed Unity will be delivered to Windows, PS4, and Xbox One on October 28.
